Orwell Bridge Live is a free, independent information service. It is not National Highways, a road operator or an emergency service.

Travel safely

Bridge status, speeds, incidents, weather, history and alerts can be delayed, missing or inaccurate. A speed reading does not prove the bridge is open or safe. Always follow road signs, official closures, speed limits and police or National Highways instructions. Check official information before travelling; do not use the site while driving.

Availability and notifications

We cannot guarantee uninterrupted service or complete information. Notifications may arrive late, be missed, repeated or superseded. We may change or suspend the service when reasonably necessary.

Referrals and external links

The Whatnot promotion contains a referral link. I may receive shopping credit after your first eligible order is delivered. Whatnot decides offer amounts and eligibility under its referral terms. It is separate from bridge information and does not affect access to this site. We do not control external websites, offers or transactions. Adsterra advertising remains disabled.

Data sources and use

Traffic and incident information comes from National Highways feeds, including NTIS. It is supplied as-is and does not imply official endorsement. Weather data comes from Open-Meteo under CC BY 4.0; values may be rounded, reformatted or combined with bridge-status logic.

You may use public information for personal travel planning. Site content and third-party data retain their ownership and licence rights. Do not misrepresent the service, gain unauthorised access, bypass controls or overload it.

Responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses caused by reliance on inaccurate or missing information, service interruption, missed alerts or external offers. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or mandatory consumer rights.
