Site analytics

We measure approximate visits and interactions to improve the site. A random browser code changes daily; our server keeps a protected code, the date, public page, referring website name and visit counts. This analytics system does not keep raw IP addresses or track you across days or other websites.

Daily codes are normally removed after the following day and converted to anonymous totals, kept for up to 13 months. A maintenance backlog can delay removal. We rely on legitimate interests and the UK statistical-purpose storage exception. You can turn analytics off at any time.

Referrals and advertising

The optional Whatnot card is a referral link. I may receive shopping credit after your first eligible order is delivered. Our site analytics can count link clicks unless you opt out; it does not tell us whether you sign up or buy. No Whatnot script or cookie is loaded by the card. If you follow the link, Whatnot handles your information under its privacy policy.

Advertising is currently disabled. No advertising network is loaded. The previous Adsterra trial has ended; data already sent to that provider remains subject to its privacy policy. Existing provider cookies can be cleared through your browser.

Notifications

If you request alerts, we keep your browser's push address and delivery keys, alert choices and quiet times. Apple, Google, Mozilla or Microsoft may handle delivery. We rely on your consent; unsubscribe through Notify me or browser settings. Invalid or unsubscribed addresses are removed. After three months without a visit, a reminder may be followed by deletion seven days later if you do not return.

Security and service providers

Our host, Cloudflare and security systems process connection information such as IP addresses, request times, page addresses and browser details to operate and protect the service. We rely on legitimate interests and keep security records only as long as needed for that purpose or legal obligations. These records are separate from visitor analytics.

Hosting, security and notification providers may process information outside the UK. Applicable transfer safeguards are required. We may disclose information where legally required or to protect legal rights.

Your choices and rights

Bridge information works without ads, analytics or notifications. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track keep analytics and advertising off. See Cookies & choices to change settings.

You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability where applicable, withdraw consent, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Anonymous totals cannot be linked back to you. Contact us above or complain to the ICO.
